Ingredients
-
1 cup cooked ground beef
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1/4 cup diced tomatoes
-
1/4 cup diced onions
-
1/4 cup sliced black olives
-
1 teaspoon taco seasoning
-
1 pack puff pastry sheets (usually comes in a 2-pack)
-
Optional garnish: Fresh cilantro or parsley
Instructions
-
Mixing the Taco Filling:
In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, diced onions, sliced black olives, and taco seasoning. Stir until everything is well mixed. -
Preparing the Pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a flat surface. Cut the sheets into rectangular strips of about 4-5 inches wide. -
Assembly and Baking:
Place a spoonful of taco filling in the center of each puff pastry strip. Fold over the pastry to seal in the filling. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
-
Serving:
Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley and serve with your favorite dipping sauces like salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.
Notes
-
Storage: Store leftover taco sticks in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe bag.
-
Reheating: Reheat in an oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or in the air fryer to maintain crispiness.
-
Customization: Feel free to swap out the cheddar cheese with mozzarella or a cheese blend. You can also add more vegetables like bell peppers or black beans for extra flavor.
