Ingredients
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
2 large eggs
-
1/2 cup milk
-
1/2 cup water
-
1/4 teaspoon salt
-
2 tablespoons melted butter
-
1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk, or dark)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and eggs. Gradually add milk and water, whisking until smooth. Stir in salt and melted butter. Let the batter rest for 10–15 minutes for best texture.
Step 2: Cook the Crepes
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the center, swirling the pan to spread it thin. Cook for 1–2 minutes until edges lift, then flip and cook for 1 minute more.
Step 3: Add the Chocolate Filling
While the crepe is warm, sprinkle chocolate chips down the center. Let them melt slightly, then roll or fold the crepe.
Step 4: Serve
Serve warm with toppings like powdered sugar, whipped cream, fresh berries, or chocolate drizzle.
Notes
Notes
-
Resting the batter allows the gluten to relax and results in smoother, more flexible crepes.
-
For a flavor boost, add a splash of vanilla extract to the batter.
-
Use chopped chocolate or hazelnut spread for a gourmet variation.
