Wet:

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line or grease a 12-cup muffin tin.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs, then stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix gently—do not overmix.

In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar for the swirl.

Layer batter and cinnamon sugar in muffin cups: Add 1 spoonful of batter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar, repeat.

Swirl gently with a toothpick for a marbled effect.

Fill each muffin cup ⅔ full.

Bake 18–22 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool muffins in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For extra moisture, replace ¼ cup of milk with sour cream or Greek yogurt.
Want a crunch? Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the swirl.
